Transaction #s of PayPal donations don't match PayPal
Today I asked Sue to issue a refund of a donation made via PayPal, and she told me that she had trouble finding the transaction in PayPal because the PayPal transaction number recorded in CiviCRM didn't match the transaction as it was recorded in PayPal. Here's the transaction as we have it in CiviCRM:
I pasted this transaction ID into PayPal's transaction search:
But when I searched by the donor's email address, the PayPal transaction came right up:
So. While we can still find transactions, it's not best to have to use alternative means - and we really should have consistent, matching transaction IDs, in correspondence with our payment processor. Can this be fixed?
