User-reported newsletter subscription confirmation link failures
It's not exactly clear to me if this issue belongs here or in /web/civicrm/, but I suspect this category has more eyes on it, so:
Several correspondents in recent days have reported problems with the newsletter subscription confirmation link that we send.
The author of RT ticket 341041 reports that the link in the email does not match the text of the link in the email:

I was able to sign up by copying and pasting the link text.
If you look at the HTML of the email, the actual link destination isn't a valid URL. It's:
http://civicrm/mailing/url?u=1716&qid=25419299
I'm using Firefox on MacOS. Both for signup, and reading the mail in Proton Mail's web interface.
RT 341112 - "I get a error message when i click on the link. 'not found'"
RT 341111 - "i receive a 'site can't be reached' error message trying to reach the site via google chrome"
RT 341108 - "Link leads to a server error page. Error page asks if this is the page I want civicrm.com/mai;ing/url?u=1855&qid=25419479."
(note the semicolon in this URL where an l should be ^)
