@duncan Yes, we got feedback from users that were confused on WHICH of the 4 to download as they( layman/non-techie) cannot understand what the download options mean.
Installing TBA from F-Droid is kind of common in the FOSS community. Maybe the Guardian Project knows how many times people downloaded TBA from their repos?
Regarding this issue, if they're a non-techie, it should be recommended to get TBA from F-Droid or Google Play. It sounds contradictory to me being a lay user and at the same time wanting to download the .apk. Why are they choosing this way? Unlocking your Android to get an .apk from the internet is a thing that we should not endorse.
Can we tag this to discuss in the next UX meeting?
The same for Android users. First, we should only show Android options. Second, we can suggest the appropriated .apk based on the device they are using at the moment. We can offer a drop-down with that option selected. If the user wants to pick another option, they can do it.
