Nutty idea: Additional types of metasyntactic ⧚parentheses⧛?
Here is a wild idea, though I have no idea if Rust will permit it.
It would be cool if we could grab more types of parentheses/braces/etc to use, optionally, when we want contrast with Rust's own braces.
For example, if you're looking at a long string of } } } }
, it might be neat to be able to say "oh, that one has to match the ${select1
I saw above."
After all, this isn't 1980 any more, and we have dozens of kinds of brackets to work with. Some favorites: «…»
, 〚…〛
, 〖…〗
, ༺…༻
. (Only mostly joking on the last one.)
