Add references from tutorial to reference

Apropos #8 (closed). Add xrefs according to the style in !196 (merged). I'm not 100% sure of the details here, but this does seem a step forward in any case.

CC @nickm in case he'd like to review it, but I'll merge it (assuming the link checker passes in CI).
