Change app.update.url to point to onion service
As of TBB 7.5, app.update.url points to https://aus1.torproject.org . Wouldn't it be more sensible for the Tor Project to point automatic updates of its software to services it operates inside of the Tor network that it maintains? Metrics could also benefit. The onion service of aus1 is listed on onion.torproject.org.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have admin enable hashed storage. More information
