Unhandled exception error in firefox.exe

I get this error each time I attempt to access a URL from the toolbar after starting TOR and getting to the WELCOME screen; I have downloaded and reinstalled and still get error: Unhandled exception at 0x16C4687D (d2d1.dll) in firefox.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x095C75E0.

If there is a handler for this exception, the program may be safely continued.
