Mouse-over long links causes the browser element to re-center relative to width of status tooltip

Ok hard to describe, but basically goto news.google.com and mouse over links and you'll see the browser element jump to the left, as the status bar popup centers relative to the browser window, forcing the browser element to show over to the left:
