Make it easier to switch between security levels in Tor Browser

Currently it is very cumbersome to switch between security levels. It requires 4 clicks:

Tor Button > Privacy and Security settings... > security slider > OK

This makes users set their security slider at lower levels for whole sessions or permanently, instead of lowering it just momentarily to load a few selected webpages.

  • One possible way to improve this would be to put security levels right into Torbutton's drop-down menu, with a check mark next to the current level (legacy/trac#20967 (moved), comment 2). This would make them more visible as well, reminding users both of their current setting and of security levels as such (legacy/trac#20843 (moved)).

  • Maybe even add keyboard shortcuts to slide security level up and down, although this would work better if the security level is displayed in Torbutton's icon as well (legacy/trac#20967 (moved)) so that the UI gives instant feedback. These shortcuts could then be displayed in a banner on the about:tor page that reminds users about security levels (legacy/trac#20843 (moved), comment 3).

These are just some initial ideas.
