Change Description
We revert the old method to hide the UI and implement a new approach. We hide the toolbar button with a CSS rule, rather than spoofing all pages as chromeUI
. We hide the preferences using data-hidden-from-search
, as we do in other places, which also ensures it does not contribute to search results.
How Tested
Visit example.org
, the toolbar tracking button should remain hidden.
In "about:preferences#privacy" the tracking protection settings should be hidden. Searching for "tracking" yields an empty search.
