Backporting
Timeline
-
No Backport (preferred): patchset for the next major stable -
Immediate: patchset needed as soon as possible -
Next Minor Stable Release: patchset that needs to be verified in nightly before backport -
Eventually: patchset that needs to be verified in alpha before backport
(Optional) Justification
-
Emergency security update: patchset fixes CVEs, 0-days, etc -
Censorship event: patchset enables censorship circumvention -
Critical bug-fix: patchset fixes a bug in core-functionality -
Consistency: patchset which would make development easier if it were in both the alpha and release branches; developer tools, build system changes, etc -
Sponsor required: patchset required for sponsor -
Localization: typos and other localization changes that should be also in the release branch -
Other: upstream backport that fixes a slightly annoying problem with PDFs. It had a regression upstream (which was cherry-picked as well). I believe the number of affected users should be small enough, as it's a combination of settings that is known for causing breakage.

Change Description
Fixes the issue reported on MB's GitHub: https://github.com/mullvad/mullvad-browser/issues/368.
Thorin found an upstream fix and that that fix caused a regression. I cherry-picked both (f384fcaaefbb0afd74200c141f876cc60ed68d10, 9cd09c262454cfb70462a8c4b68f3a844105db0d).
