Bug 40918: Hide the breadcrumbs if the bootstrap hasn't failed once yet

The previous MR (!291 (closed)) worked in the debug, but not in the real bootstrap (was it too quick on my test and I didn't realize the problem, pheraps?).

Anyway, this uses the flag that I had added for the settings page and fixes the problem the previous patch had.
