Backport Timeline

Change Description

This change backports fixes for https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1802385 ( https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/554a5aa89673 ) and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1803109 ( https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/adcb31b93a01 ). Fortunately both patches apply cleanly apart from tests which don't seem to exist in our esr102-based firefox.
