Creating a UX/user survey that targets Tor Relay Operators and tries to understand
- Motivations to run relays
- Possible strategies to incentivize running relays
- Relay operator pain points (technical and/or non-technical)
This survey is part of the gamification project for Tor Relay Operators - Mapping values and motivations of the Tor network
Our goals with this project are to find ways to meet these goals (and more):
- Promoting network diversity
- Attracting more + faster relays
- Promoting operating system diversity
- Building a trusted relay community
This survey should target opportunities for
- attracting more relay operators
- learning from relay operators' experiences and make new relay operators' experience smoother wherever possible
- rewarding existing relay operators to continue their efforts
- building and furthering a transparent and trusted relay community
