OSX (10.4.1) SOCKS Proxy problem
When I activated the SOCKS proxy (127.0.0.1 port 9050), I could no longer send smtp email via my email client (MS Entourage 2k4). Called my isp, and aside from being impressed that I had checked my email from 18 different class A IP addresses, they could see no request from me to even attempt to conect and send from my account. Turned off the SOCKS proxy and everything worked fine again. I do run the OS X firewall and have set it up to be open but upon further reading, that looks like it only opens for receive not send. So, how do I "punch a hole"? Or, am I just missing the boat on something. All other tor function works fine.
