Bridges Don't function
Summary
I used to connect to tor using bridges on my Mac but It's been a week since that every bridge that I get from tor website doesn't work ...
This is the contents of my torrc:
UseBridges 1
ClientTransportPlugin obfs4 exec /opt/homebrew/Cellar/obfs4proxy/0.0.14/bin managed
Bridge obfs4 [2001:19f0:4401:87c:5400:3ff:feb7:8cfc]:4444 55346F385B6FB7069D1588CE842DBE88F90F90C5 cert=fbtptOz8dA1Sz6Fl4i0k8KNqBVt8ueGmBHUBixB1/0QCyxwct9w4TwyXJe9kjwQCeR9SVw iat-mode=0
When I run the command tor -f torrc
I get the No running bridges
error in logs.
Steps to reproduce:
- Head to the tor project's official web to get a desired bridge.
- Yank the bridge & put it in the torrc with the correct syntax.
- run the command
tor -f torrc
in the terminal.
What is the current bug behavior?
Bridges don't work at all; I've tried more than 15 bridges that I got with or without pluggable transports but all of them failed.
What is the expected behavior?
I expect to be able to connect using bridges ...
It's worth noting that I have brave on my machine & its Private window with Tor works perfectly fine. The option Use Bridges is enabled with **Request a bridge from **torproject.org selected in the browser's settings
