cymru gnt-chi cluster setup

Tor Project has had a bunch of servers donated which have not being put to use. Figure out how to best use them and make it happen.

next steps:

  • disable RAID-1: couldn't figure it out, so we'll live with hardware RAID...
  • figure out a way to set a rescue shell: the virtual console is hell, but it will have to do
  • password resets everywhere: reset the iDRAC password for the machines we have access to
  • IPv6 configuration everywhere
  • management network access #40097 (closed)
  • deploy the reverse DNS zonefile properly #40069 (closed)
  • install chi-node-01 #40065 (closed)
  • install chi-node-02 #40066 (closed) (includes setting up a new ganeti cluster!)
  • install chi-node-03 #40067 (closed)
  • install chi-node-04 #40068 (closed)
  • BIOS configurations of extra nodes below... #40076
  • install chi-node-05 #40365 (closed) (disk/memory problems, see #40377 (closed), kept for spare parts)
  • install chi-node-06 #40390 (closed)
  • install chi-node-07 #40670 (closed)
  • install chi-node-08 #40410 (closed)
  • install chi-node-09 #40528 (closed)
  • install chi-node-10 #40671 (closed)
  • install chi-node-11 #40672 (closed)
  • install chi-node-12 #40557 (closed)
  • install chi-node-13 #40095
  • storage array configuration design: need to figure out how to talk to those things - delegated to #40131 (closed)
  • figure out how to name storage nodes (they have no name, they are embedded things we cannot control)
  • figure out monitoring and emergency procedures for hardware RAID #40075 (closed)
