about:tor favicon is non-existent in tb 8.0a10

Hm, what is not working for you (compared to 7.5.6)? Could you give us a screenshot? I compared the stable and the alpha versions and am not sure what this bug report is about.

I don't think about:tor has ever had a favicon. Adding one should be easy to do, and would help about:tor tabs stand out more, etc.

Adding one should be easy to do, and would help about:tor tabs stand out more, etc. My thought process for that was that about:newtab on Firefox had favicons, so why not the Tor Browser. But of course antonela should have the final say on this.

That seems OK, although I would argue that it would be better to have an icon there for consistency with Firefox (which some users may be familiar with).

BUT — the URL bar icon is not the subject of this ticket (and I think we have a ticket for the URL bar issue somewhere). This ticket is about the favicon which is displayed on the tab. Open about:support to see an example (and yes, about:support also has the wrong icon in the URL bar).
