Should Letterboxing enablement be independent from ResistFingerprinting?
As recently noted in #42574 (closed), one of our several changes to the Letterboxing / window sizing machinery has been making it dependent on the privacy.resistFingerprinting
preference being true
: we ignore the privacy.resistFingerprinting.letterboxing
preference and hide the UI we implemented for it in #41916 (closed) unless the parent preference is enabled.
In Firefox it seems the two preferences are independent, instead.
Tor Browser's behavior seems more consistent to me, but I'm probably be biased.
Should go back doing like Firefox?
Class, discuss! ;)
