@trinity-1686a this looks great - thanks for doing this work.

This needs to target the maint-0.4.8 branch though instead of main, and then we'll merge it forward when we merge it, so it's also included in main :-)

Since it's already released, I will need a changes file for it for inclusion in the next release's ChangeLog.

I think release would be good for the community and a-c folks and would likely mean less complaints for us. :)
