retire ci-runner-x86-05
In addition to two runners provided to us by OSUOSL, TPA currently manages these amd64 hosts with runners for GitLab CI:
-
chi-node-12
(300G/srv
) -
chi-node-14
(200G/srv
) -
ci-runner-x86-01
(500G/srv
) -
ci-runner-x86-05
(140G/srv
)
The issue is that we've been having increasingly frequent issues with /srv
filling up on ci-runner-x86-05
, as documented in #40529 (closed) and #40865 (closed) and in the last weeks, the runner has spent most of its time paused, not acceptiong jobs at all. Yet, since setting up that machine, we've learned more about our CI needs and also deployed the gnt-chi SANs in production, giving us access to vast amounts of storage space. So it seems appropriate that ci-runner-x86-05
, which was set up on gnt-chi with DRBD-backed volumes, be retired.
