we don't have a policy on this yet (#40404), but i try to discourage people from using aliases for group addresses like this. they cause churn on our end ("please change the alias" is one of our thousand cuts) and cause all sorts of other problems inherent to forwards (#41524 (closed), among other things).
in particular, you should be aware that bounces from any one of those emails might reveal the list of subscribers to the alias (#40301 (closed)).
with that in mind, do you really want to create that address? or would a mailman mailing list be perhaps more appropriate?
I've also done some minimal configuration, mostly to set the list to private and refuse posts from non-members. if that was not the intent of that list, you can change the settings accordingly.
all members subscribed to the list.
@micah feel free to change the list's configuration according to your needs. you can also subscribe some other ppl as owners and moderators to deduplicate your responsibility in managing it.
tell me if you were able to gain access to the list's admin interface with the email that was supposedly sent to you by mailman when the list was created.

@lelutin i think this ticket can just be closed, you did your part, if @micah needs anything, he can comment and (surely? gitlab is unknowable) reopen the ticket...
@micah i just realized this now, after seeing your welcome message to the list (because of #41855 (closed)) that this list might actually overlap with the already existing (and mostly unused) team-leads@lists.torproject.org list.
i'll let you decide what you wish to do with those two fantastic tools.
